There are many qualities a man or a woman is on the look out for before they say 'yes' to love and these qualities may include body size, complexion, height, religious affiliation, tribal divide, racial differences etc.
However, the focus of this little piece is to measure the degree of loving by considering the person's heart and loving by considering the person's brain, for these two factors play no small role in influencing the choices people make when they consider walking the long road of love.
When you consider the intellectual prowess of your partner or intending partner, when you try to weigh the intellectual capacity of the person, when you try to measure the brain power or use such as a yardstick to determine whether to love or whether to give all of yourself, then what you are doing is love, for the brain.
It is putting brilliance before affection and empathy, and this may become a blockade and restrict the flow of love you would have given. And this is giving love a bad name.
On the other hand, Love, for the heart is one that looks beyond physical qualities and of which brain capacity is amongst. It is looking beyond what the individual has to offer by intellectual output, but considering the beautiful soul that is behind the shade of intellectualism.
While love by brain allows your partner to SEE you in good light, love by heart allows your partner to FEEL your good light. When you love by heart, you look beyond past errors and mistakes and would rather use all the ingredients of today to cook a better tomorrow.
But when you love by brain, there is an intellectual analysis of the past resulting in biased permutations and projections and fear of a repetition of such in the future and this can be stressful and result in too much strains in the relationship.
Please don't get this wrong, it is never wrong for a man or woman to choose a partner who is schooled, intelligent/brainy, one who has acquired many degrees and certificates, however such won't last unless it is love that is tying them together and not their academic achievements.
When two hearts meet, it results in happiness and where there is happiness, a pool of peace is created.
But on the other hand, when two brains meet, it results in too much analysis and interrogation and where such reign, trust is hard to find. When two brains are first tied by heart, then love becomes a wonderful adventure.
Loving by heart is the best bet. Where love reigns in the heart, without consideration for intellectual adulation, trust, forgiveness, peace, sacrifice hold sway. Loving by brain output results in accolades, plaques, certificates, etc and all these do not influence the state of the heart.
